Egi
who hails from San Sebastian which is one of the most famous tourism destinations in Spain,it is located on the Bay of Biscany
some 20Km's away from the French border. In 2011 Egi was voted the # two Frontcourter by the fans and the #4 by his fellow
players.
Egi as of this writing is playing at Fort Pierce and leading the roster in overall wins 31 to 20 over Olabe.Prior
to coming to Fort Pierce Egi played on this very Orlando Roster and won the Overall Wins Championship 78 to 73 over Hernandez
(Duke).Egi's win percentage was an excellent 28% overall,he also led in singles wins with 47 and had the best in the money
stats,.461.
From 1996 until the winter of 2008,Egi played full time at Dania Jai-Alai,where he won several titles including
the 2002 Cesta World Cup teamed with Elizegui. From what I have heard at the time of his leaving Dania he was the highest paid
player on the roster. That seemed only fitting as many and I thought he was the best on it,with Arriaga not to far behind.
When
I think of Egi as a player the thoughts that come to my mind is how aggressive a player he is,the great confidence he shows
and what a pleasure it is to watch him play.He plays his game on whatever court he is on,from the fast Orlando to the slow
Fort Pierce,he adjusts quickly, and needless to say has a golden glove.
One of Egi's hobbies is the Internet and he is the
former owner of the website Jai alive which was located in Spain..He has been playing jai-alai since he was 9 and according
to him the strongest part of his game is his Rebote, with the weakest his Dejada. It's a good bet that Egi will be a "Triple
Crown Winner" by the time the Fort Pierce Season ends on April 28th,2012.
The Fort is open for Live Jai-Alai on Fri,Sat
and Sunday.Simulcasting and Poker are available 7 days a week. Fort Pierce Website
High Cesta to Egi for all his accomplishments on the court.
